biodegradable food packaging bags

Release time:

Dec 12,2024

Biodegradable plastic bags are mainly materials refined from biological resources, and the following are common:

1. Polylactic acid (PLA): PLA is a bio-based polymer derived from starch or sugar cane. It is capable of rapid degradation under industrial composting conditions and is suitable for use as food packaging and shopping bags, etc.

2. Polyhydroxy fatty acid ester (PHA): PHA is a biopolymer synthesized by bacteria with good biocompatibility and biodegradability. It can be naturally degraded in the marine environment, reducing the impact on the environment.

3. Starch-based plastics: These plastics are made by mixing starch with plastic additives and usually degrade in a short period of time. They are used in a wide range of applications, such as shopping bags and disposable tableware.

4. Cellulose-based materials: Cellulose is a polymer from plants that can be chemically modified to produce degradable plastics. These materials are widely used in the production of bags and packaging materials.

5. Polyester-based materials: Some plant-derived polyesters (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, PET) can also be modified to achieve biodegradation, and there is a large market for this type of material in the textile and packaging sectors.
